First outing for the year was great. A lovely sunny day and nice walk out around the cross country course. A paddle in the water jump which challenged a few but after some coaxing and some innovation (reversing in Yowie haha) all the horses enjoyed having a splash.

It was nice to meet some new members and catch up with existing members. Lynn was a great host ensuring everyone was comfortable with what we were doing, as a sometimes nervous rider it was a great confidence booster for me. There were some young horses too who were all well behaved.

We then ventured down to the river for a cool down, although some riders got wetter than expected, with some of the horses wanting to roll and splash! After getting back, unsaddling and settling the horses we sat under the trees and enjoyed lunch and a chat.

Fantastic day all round and a great start to the year, very much looking forward to the first rally too.
